Now, seven years later, the under-the-radar designer is about to expand his audience with a highly unusual partnership with Adidas Originals that turns the traditional sneaker collaboration model on its head. The first iteration of the tie-up is limited to three styles from the Adidas catalogue — a MicroPacer stripped of its pedometer; an NMD reimagined with its “Boost” midsole removed; and a adidas superstar — all rendered in Hender Scheme’s signature pastel tones. But critically, Hender Scheme is producing the sneakers and not Adidas. Indeed, each of the collaboration’s 900 pairs are being made by hand in the same ateliers as Hender Scheme’s core offering, using the same leather. The sneakers will bear Adidas branding, but otherwise will look unmistakably Hender Scheme.

After releasing a slew of rose and pink-hued adidas superstar 80s, adidas Originals is mixing things up with a new offering in a fresh shade of “Tactile Green.”The ’80s silhouette is updated with a perforated leather upper, contrasted by black panelling on the heel tab and Three Stripes branding on the lateral side. Complete with tonal laces and a chunky white midsole that complements the iconic shell toe, the sneaker is given an additional regal touch with metallic gold accents on the heel and tongue.This iteration of the classic shell toe comes comprised of a one-piece leather on the upper for a clean aesthetic. Adding to the clean look of the sneaker is laser etching on the shell toe and the three stripes branding on the side panels.

The shoe that is now part of all sneaker culture gets updated with a new platform sole, perfect for the ladies, with all the essential design remaining unchanged.Dressed in its original color scheme of White and Black. Its iconic shell toe remains true to form while sitting atop a thick bold rubber sole.The adidas Originals Superstar Bold is the new kid on the block and already available in nude and black/white. The latest iteration now debuts in a millennial “Wonder Pink.”
