The most downloaded PSN games in September here according to the data compiled by Sony and published via the PlayStation Blog.In another piece of PlayStation news, the game from Sony's God of War Ragnarok has recently been declared gold as PlayStation verified that the game was developed by nine different studios.
Sony has plans to be ambitious for the next generation of virtual reality hardware It plans for 2 million devices of the PSVR 2 headset ready by March next year.
The mass production of the virtual reality headset is said to have started in September (via Bloomberg) and has been able to overcome shortages in the supply chain. With the PS5 remains extremely popular because of its limited availability after its release in November of 2020, Sony also plans to keep more consoles on shelves in the first quarter of 2023 according to Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 has yet to be announced for a release date that extends beyond 2023, however Sony is trying to make sure that it has enough PS5 consoles to play games on the brand new headset. The headset will work only with PS5 and will not be compatible with backwards-compatible PSVR games.
The only thing we know about the device is that it packs several impressive specifications. Like the PS5 in addition to its DualSense controller Sony is incorporating haptic feedback and adaptive triggers eye-tracking with inside-out tracking along with 3D-sound into this kit but it hasn't yet received the final price.
"PSVR 2 seems poised to be an important boost for gaming space," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It still remains to be determined whether PSVR 2 will be able to draw widespread interest, but at the most, I'm sure that it'll take us one step closer to reaching the full potential of this device."
