You're back on the television after a break of a year. What did you do that prevented you from work?
Yes, I'm getting back to screen after a brief break. I was not looking to play the same clichéd role of a 'damsel distress or the 'girl next to you'. I wanted to make something unique and different that people would love. I think the demographic of today's audience is changing , and that's why it is crucial to play characters that people are able to relate to, and the one I love playing.
What made you decide to join Maddam Sir?
The makers of Maddam Sir contacted me. When I was informed about the character Chingari group in the show and what my character would appear at the time, all my doubts and concerns were resolved. I was also observing the storyline of the show and was impressed with how it was going. That's the reason I decided to go with it!
We'd like to know more about your participation as a character in the series.
I'm doing Shivani Tai, a member of the Chingari group. She is exceptionally robust and even a bit emotional. She's not afraid of anything, but mostly because she's experienced many things. She's also very sympathetic to the issues faced by women and advocates for their rights. However, she isn't a believer to take action for anyone to cause unnecessary confrontation.
What's the difference in this character from your previous roles?
The style and the style of the language are completely different. I've never played an authoritative character before and have always wanted to take on the character of a gangster, or even a character who made me laugh out the wild part of me. This is an ideal occasion to try something new.
The viewers love the Chingari group. How do you feel this gang is contributing to the plot in the TV show?
Chingari Gang isn't an evil gang. Their motives are honest as they are committed to the concept of the justice they deserve immediately. They are determined to help women who face challenges in their everyday lives. The principal goal of this group is to bring justice right away that women are entitled to.
You've been with the actress Yukti Kapoor previously What is it like to be a part of her now?
From the first day of shooting, the two us immediately connected and have become in love with each other. It's fun to be in this space. I'm extremely pleased to be part of the entire crew for this series. We are all dedicated to our jobs however, during breaks we enjoy a wonderful time. The vibe at the set are so positive and exhilarating that it's a joy to be working with others.
