The King of Spotify is an elusive title, one that has yet to be officially bestowed upon any particular artist. But if there was a crown to be won, there is one musician who stands out as a clear frontrunner. His name is Drake. Drake has been dominating the music streaming service since its launch in 2008, and has held the top spot as the most-streamed artist on Spotify for several years now. Even in 2019, he has managed to remain atop the charts, with over 8 billion streams in the first half of the year alone Acheter auditeurs Spotify.

It's no surprise that Drake has been able to maintain his reign over Spotify. His discography is vast and varied, featuring both chart-topping hits and beloved deep cuts. Drake is also a savvy businessman, releasing his music through his own label and finding innovative ways to promote his music, like the use of the Apple Music platform for his Scorpion album. Drake's success isn't limited to Spotify though. He has also charted at the top of the Billboard 200 twice, and his single "God's Plan" was the first to ever reach one billion streams on the platform. It's no wonder he's been able to maintain his crown as the King of Spotify.

But Drake isn't the only artist in the running for the throne. Pop-punk queen Taylor Swift, electronic music pioneer Avicii, and hip-hop icon Eminem all have their own impressive streaming numbers on Spotify. There are also a few up-and-coming stars like Billie Eilish and Juice WRLD who have managed to break into the top 10 most-streamed artists. So who is the real King of Spotify? It's impossible to say for sure, as the streaming landscape is constantly changing. What is certain, however, is that Drake is the current front-runner and has been for some time. He's a strong contender and it looks like he'll be keeping his crown for some time to come.
