    Wood floor and vitrified floor are commonly used for home decoration. Then what's the difference between them? Which one is better? Here is a comparison between wooden flooring and vitrified tile flooring.

    Wooden flooring: Natural material
    Vitrified: Artificial or modern look

     

    Fireproof
    Wood flooring: Catches fire easily
    Vitrified: Fireproof and does not catch fire

     

    Durability
    Wood flooring: Can last for lifetime or even more
    Vitrified floor: Not as durable as wood

     

    Water absorption
    Wood flooring: High, not suitable for wet areas like bathrooms

    Vitrified: Cement mortar bedding of 20mm to 25mm

    Wood floor: Provides firm grip to feet, safer
    Vitrified: Hart on feet cold in Winter

    Wood flooring: Relatively hard. Requires refinishing after every 5 to 6 years costlier
    Vitrified: Requires minimal maintenance. Hard to repair, designs go out of trend

    Vitrified: Cheaper

    Wood flooring: Sell faster & at high prices
    Vitrified: Doesn’t add much resale value

     

    Uses
    Wood flooring: Living room, bedroom, exterior deck, dancing halls, auditorium, ideal for cold regions, should not be used in kitchen, bathrooms and basements
    Vitrified: Indoor & outdoor areas, most suitable for bathroom, kitchen, etc,. High traffic areas like banks, corporate offices
