India and South Africa’s first T20I match ended up in a washout because of persistent rain. The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Officials and players were forced to vacate the stadium because of bad weather.
India is back after a month-long tour in West Indies. The team managed to win the Test series and the three sets of T20I and ODI’s. Across all formats, many players made their debut and broke records.
South Africa’s tour is India teams first home match. The tour series will feature three sets of ODI, T20I, and Test matches. The T20I squad is made-up of both senior and new players. According to the selectors, the T20I is an opportunity to train new members of the team. This will also serve as training for the T20 World Cup.
Cricket odds are not looking good for South Africa, as the team will have a difficult time defeating India in home soil. After their recent defeat in the preliminary stage during the Cricket World Cup, the tour is their first international assignment.
South Africa will continue the tour without senior members. Most of the team members are new bowlers. Kagiso Rabada will be the senior pacer, while Quinton de Kock is the skipper for the tour.
Bowlers from SA will have a hard time defeating India cricket team in the first T20I since Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will lead the batting department.
India’s bowling department is strong as it can be because of spinners Navdeep Saini and Deepak Chahar is in-charge.
During the West Indies tour, Saini’s 3/17 spell earned him the Man of the Match award. He also picked up his maiden wicket during the tour during the 20th over.
India will win by 20-30 runs is the cricket prediction for this match.
