According to statistics, more than 50 million families in my country have installed cameras. How to find a suitable location in the limited space at home? How to maximize the viewing angle and adjust the image quality to the best? The editor of Happy House 4S+ compiled some tips, I hope everyone can get them ✔
How high should the camera be mounted?
It is recommended to install in the house at a height of not less than 2.5 meters. In the case of a low position, the viewing angle is limited and the indoor panorama cannot be effectively viewed; for outdoor installation in the yard, the height is not lower than 3.5 meters to prevent man-made damage. The location of the installation is not suitable There is direct sunlight.
How to choose the installation location?
① At the exit of the home
To protect the safety of your home, start with the entrance and exit, such as the location of the foyer in your home. dashcam As shown in the picture, the camera is installed here to record the people entering and leaving the room in detail, and the facial features of the people entering and exiting can be seen in ultra-clear, becoming the first barrier to protect the safety of the home!
②Living room and balcony
The living room and balcony are also key areas for security monitoring. In the relatively hidden corner of the living room, it is also recommended to install a camera to monitor most areas of the living room and the entrance and exit doors of the balcony to record possible incidents.
③External wall eaves
In addition to indoor monitoring, friends can also install cameras on exterior walls, eaves, and courtyards to comprehensively monitor abnormal changes around the living environment; they can also be installed in outdoor places to effectively monitor shops, stalls, etc.
④Near the parking space or at the entrance of the garage
There are still many customers who install monitoring to view parking spaces. Indoor properties need to be guarded, and outdoor properties also need to be monitored. For those who have a private car, a camera can also be installed around the parking area of the private car or at the door of the garage to monitor the safety of outdoor property in real time.
After talking about the installation position of the home camera, let's talk about the installation angle. Although it sounds beautiful to look up at the sky at a 45-degree angle, the installation perspective is really different for different needs.
Sometimes after installation, it looks good during the day, but at night, the picture will be dark, half white and half black, bright in the middle and black around, etc. Why?
These are all related to the installation angle. When installing, avoid raising the lens too high, and the camera installed on the wall should not have more than 1/4 of the obstacles appearing in the screen.
Question ①: What's the matter with the normal picture during the day and overexposure at night?
Answer: The camera is too close to the wall, and the picture is overexposed under the infrared light at night!
When installed outdoors, the front of the camera is too close to the wall, and the wall will be overexposed during night vision. The camera must be adjusted to the left to prevent infrared light from being directly reflected into the lens through the wall.
Case ②: See the camouflage and concealment during the day, but why is it so useless at night?
Answer: In order to hide the camera, there are too many obstacles in front of the lens!
The tree trunk in front of the camera is too close to the camera. During night vision, close-range objects will be overexposed, and the night vision monitoring effect will not be achieved. The camera must be adjusted to avoid the occlusion of the front leaves.
Case ③: The light bulb in the picture is too close to the camera. When the light is turned on at night, a large halo will appear on the camera screen, resulting in overexposure of the light bulb and darkness in other areas.
[Installation Suggestions] When installing the camera, ensure that there are no light source obstructions in the viewing angle range, because the camera exposure strategy is highlight priority. If there is an occluded object, when the infrared light is turned on, the occluded object will be illuminated very brightly. At this time, the camera will automatically converge to see the clear area, and the brightness of the dark area will decrease, resulting in poor image quality.
