Inductions are Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio.Gonzalez played 17 seasons with the Chiefs and Falcons, but never made a Super Bowl. No matter: he holds the career record for tight ends with 1,325, second only overall to Jerry Rice, and gained more 15,127 yards while scoring 111 touchdowns. His string of 211 straight games with a catch lasted from 2000-13.Reed spent 12 seasons with the Ravens, Texans and Jets, winning an NFL title in 2012. Coryell, who coached the high-powered offenses of the Cardinals and Chargers in the 1970s and ’80s, is a five-time finalist.In all there, are three safeties, two cornerbacks, two offensive tackles, two coaches, one guard, one center, one tight end, one running back, one wide receiver and one defensive lineman as finalists. (AP) — Temarrick Hemingway is the latest tight end to get his shot with the Denver Broncos, who have lost three tight ends to season-ending injuries.The Broncos (5-6), who visit the Bengals (5-6) this weekend, promoted Hemingway from their practice squad Tuesday when they placed Jeff Heuerman on injured reserve.Heuerman broke three ribs and bruised a lung in the Broncos’ 24-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.Heuerman was in the midst of a breakout season, posting career highs in catches (31) and yards (281) while scoring twice in his fourth NFL season. He’s set to become a free agent after this season.Heuerman joined fellow tight ends Jake Butt and Troy Fumagalli on IR. Butt blew out his left knee in a special teams practice in September and rookie Troy Fumagalli has missed all season with a sports hernia.Case Keenum’s tight end targets now consist of Matt LaCosse , who scored his first career touchdown Sunday, Brian Parker and Hemingway, who joined the Broncos’ practice squad on Oct. 10 after competing with the Los Angeles Rams in training camp.The Rams selected Hemingway in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft out of South Carolina State. He played in eight games his rookie season and missed last season with a leg injury he sustained in a preseason game.The Broncos also signed three players to their practice squad: D-lineman Caushaud Lyons, tight end Tim Semisch and O-lineman Dan Skipper, and they designated tackle Andreas Knappe as practice squad/injured reserve.
