With over 60 nursery and kids’ room designs to our credit, we think it’s safe to say that we’re asked about crib bumper pads a lot. For some parents, the crib bumper pads is an absolute must. Today, we wanted to share our thoughts, and more importantly get yours. Please let us know where you stand on crib bumper pads by commenting on this post.

As a mother of two young children, I admit that I used crib bumper pads. The charm of a beautiful bumper is appealing to both my sense of style, and my desire to keep my babies cozy. In addition, organic crib bumper pads that are made with completely baby safe materials are going to be the best option in this case. They help keep the limbs and head of the child in the crib while keeping them from harm. The materials are easy to trace back to their sources, making it simple to check that they are ethically sourced as well. This can give you great peace of mind when it comes to your little one.

These organic mesh crib bumper pads are usually made with materials such as bamboo and cotton. These materials are safe for use even with babies who have sensitive skin, making it easy for parents to relax. These materials are also easy to clean and are not prone to holding bacteria in, even if they do absorb spills and other liquids. A quick wash every once in a while will keep them smelling good and germ-free.

On the flip side, last Fall, we sat down to get her take on bumper safety.  Her statement: “bounce the bumpers”. Additionally, in a recent conversation with a prominent parenting magazine, we learned they will no longer be printing photos of bumpers without a safety caveat. With slight form and function, alternative styles are available to combat the safety concerns of standard bumpers – like the crib bumper pads shown here.
