Most Strikers in Arknights: Endfield let you play a bit sloppy and still look good. Last Rite doesn't. If you're thinking about sticking with her (or even grabbing some Arknights endfield boosting to speed up the grind), you'll quickly notice she only feels "broken" when you actually drive her kit. She doesn't quietly fill Ultimate from the bench like other picks. Her meter comes from what she does on-field, so if you swap in, whiff a rotation, then leave, the damage never shows up.
Her whole game is Hypothermia, and it's less "press buttons" and more "keep score." You stack Cryo Infliction, then cash it out at the right moment. With her talent built out, each stack you consume pushes Cryo damage taken up by 8% on the target, which turns your next burst into a real event. The trick is that you can't just detonate whenever you feel like it. You want to line up the stacks, freeze uptime, and your own skill cadence, then spend the stacks when your hardest hits are ready to land.
People will tell you she's gear-dependent, and yeah, they're not wrong. Khravengger is the clean winner because it's tuned around her exact loop: a big Skill DMG boost up front, then rotating buffs that reward Battle Skill usage and, even more, a Combo Skill connecting on a frozen enemy. That condition matters. It pushes you to play properly instead of fishing for random hits. If you don't have it, Seeker of Dark Lung is a respectable fallback because it patches the "why is my Ultimate still not up?" feeling. Sundered Prince can function, but you'll feel the missing punch the moment you try to burst a sturdy elite.
For sets, Tide Surge is the one worth committing to. The 3-piece payoff is huge when you trigger an Arts Burst on high-stack targets, so you're not just getting numbers, you're getting a window where everything suddenly folds. The common endgame split is Tide Surge on Gloves, Kit I, and Kit II, then a Type 50 Yinglung Light Armor chest as the off-piece for All Skill DMG, which tends to scale cleaner for her than chasing raw Strength. Early on, Aburrey's Legacy is fine while you're still unlocking pieces and learning her rhythm. Team-wise, don't try to "generic flex" her. You want a freezer core: Xaihi to keep you alive and feed stacks through her Combo, Fluorite to keep the stack pressure steady, and Ardelia to soften resistances so your detonation actually bites. If you're short on mats or looking to pick up resources faster, a marketplace like U4GM can be useful for grabbing game currency or items without stalling your whole build path.
