Yemen has reported the first Pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, which is potentially devastating in country in which the medical industry has already died in five years of war. On Friday, the internationally recognized government said that in Ash Shihr port town in Hadhramaut province governed by the Government, a male patient had been found, but it did not provide other information than that the male patient had been treated and was stable.

In the civil war between Houthi rebels who rule the capital Sana'a and the coalition led by the Saudi and Emirati to restore the UN-supported exiled government, more than half of Yemen's hospitals and clinics were destroyed or shutdown. The alliance, which is militarily sponsored by the UK, the United States, and other West countries, has carried out the bulk of attacks on civilian infrastructure.

In the world's worst humanitarian crisis, at least 80 percent of 28 million people depend on survival assistance. Yemen has already become the breeding ground for malnutrition and illness, especially the worst cholera outbreaks in modern history, due to its deep poverty, severe water shortages, lack of adequate sanitation.
