Women in History
The percentage of women among the historical personalities is, unfortunately, relatively small. However, those, who can be named, are really worth attention and admiration. Throughout all the history of humanity, women have played a significant role in politics and in the development of society in general. The one who seems the most appealing to me is Joan of Arc. A number of factors have contributed to my fondness. To begin with, at the start of her adventures Joan was nearly the same age as I am now.
Therefore, I feel like I really understand all her experiences when I read the story of her life. If I had a chance to talk to her for an hour, I would ask her several questions that worry me.
Firstly, I would show her my respect, of course. The young woman who has lived such a difficult life, who was a source of inspiration for so many people, truly deserves admiration. Then a conversation itself would follow. I would ask her about the voices she has heard. Also, I would wonder about what they have told her to make her so persistent in her attempts to become the head of the rise. Those words should have been very motivating and I am eager to learn them. Such a great responsibility was put on her and yet she succeeded in achieving her aim.
The second question that interests me is how she managed to become a military leader who excelled the well-known British commanders of that time. Her talent was a point without any doubts. Nevertheless, the question where she had got the knowledge about how to behave on the battlefield and how to defeat an enemy haunts my mind.
Her story is all covered in mystery. It sounds like it is made up by a professional novelist, nevertheless it is true.
