As the main component of the belt conveyor, the conveyor belt is used in the large-scale transportation of various objects all the year round, and it will inevitably encounter various damages caused by bumps. Such as edge delamination, middle cracks, long longitudinal tears, scratches, extensive wear, joint fractures, etc.
Longitudinal tearing of Huayue conveyor belts is one of the more common types of conveyor belt scratches. Compared with transverse tearing, longitudinal tearing has lower safety hazards and is more convenient to repair. Cold vulcanization is usually used for repairing.
Compared with hot vulcanization bonding, cold bonding has lower cost and simple process, and is suitable for short and medium-distance belt conveyor joint bonding.
It is suitable for self-adhesion and mutual adhesion of rubber conveyor belts with longitudinal tear holes, scratches, and damages for quick repair and bonding of rubber products, PVC products, leather and other materials.

1. Surface treatment
First, mark the scratched part, and cut and peel the belt at the joint to make a stepped lap surface with a cutting knife and other tools according to the size and length greater than 1/2 of the bandwidth. And use a high-power low-speed angle grinder with a tungsten steel grinding disc for grinding to remove the residual glue layer.
Use the special cleaning agent for conveyor belt to clean and decontaminate, and let it dry completely. Note that it cannot be washed with water, and the conveyor belt used in a humid environment must be dried or dried in the sun.
2. Mix the glue
Mix the two-component adhesive of the conveyor belt according to the ratio of 9:1 and stir evenly.
However, it should be noted that the glue mixed at one time should not be too much, and it should be used immediately after mixing. It should be controlled within 45 minutes from mixing to use, otherwise the curing effect will be affected.
3. Glue bonding
Use a brush to apply glue evenly on the bonding surface, and try to apply glue in one direction to avoid mixing in more air. Wait for the bonding surface to dry until it does not stick to the hand before applying the second glue.
After the surface is glued, glue the two ends of the tape tightly. Tap with a hammer or from the middle to the surrounding area 2~3 times to remove the excess air on the bonding surface.
4. Wait for curing
After the conveyor belt is bonded, it can be cured at room temperature for 4 hours.
If conditions permit, prolonging the curing time will make the bonding effect better. You can wait for 24 hours for the glue to completely cure and the bonding will be stronger.
