In Bar Detection System (BIS) is a turnkey solution designed for phased integration into a fully automated test system to meet stringent quality control standards while maintaining productivity with array probes.
Full test - Detects internal and subsurface defects
The phased array (PA) probe can be programmed to alternate between p-wave and s-wave to examine the volume and subsurface of rebar. Probes can be positioned and fired to examine the entire bar cross section as it passes through the system.
Probes are arranged on the same probe holder (box) in a specific diameter/size range and strip shape to help ensure full detection and minimize crosstalk and variation over time. The embedding box is equipped with a high pressure water jet to remove particles and bubbles from the probe.

Fast detection speed, repeatable results
Our high-speed inspection system is designed to meet the productivity requirements of the metal manufacturing industry. These systems meet the highest international quality standards without sacrificing productivity.

Floating head design
The rod passes through an underwater tank containing a floating inspection head. Because the probe is located in a tank with a large amount of undisturbed water, ideal coupling conditions are provided.
The probe is fixed on the floating head, which dynamically follows the rod. Despite the difference in straightness, the system keeps the probe perpendicular to the center line of the rod, helping to ensure accurate, repeatable test results, even for small defects.
Automatic calibration
Each phased array probe must be calibrated for a thorough inspection. During calibration, the aperture of each probe passes through a known defect, and the gain level of the probe is adjusted automatically. This feature allows the user to easily perform and verify the precise calibration of each focusing rule, saving time without relying on the user's skill.
All probes can be calibrated in an automatic sequence
Calibration checks are carried out under normal production conditions
Each reference defect is validated to help ensure that they are detected above the alert level
The results are presented in an easy-to-understand view
Phased array ultrasonic bar automatic detection equipment is applied to automatic detection of high added value medium and small caliber pipe and bar. Electronic scanning is used instead of mechanical action to reduce interference factors in the detection process, improve the detection stability and accuracy, and comprehensively replace all kinds of conventional ultrasonic detection methods.
Advantages of rod phased array ultrasonic automatic testing equipment
Simple structure
Full phased array technology for ultrasonic inspection of seamless tubes and bars. The annular concave array probe can cover seamless tubes and bars with a full circumferential beam. Using electronic beam rotation instead of mechanical beam rotation can greatly improve system stability and equipment service life.
visualization
Phased array imaging detection can carry out B scan, D scan, S scan and C scan at the same time, and can build 3D graphics and display defect images through modeling.
Easy to operate
With electronic Angle deflection, software Angle adjustment, easy to change specifications debugging, fully meet the seamless pipe and bar testing standards, reduce mechanical design requirements, reduce debugging time, improve production efficiency.
A more flexible
The phased array can focus the sound beam dynamically, and the focusing depth can be adjusted continuously, which is flexible and convenient, and the sensitivity and resolution are greatly improved.
