So, why we do not recommend mixing different brands of PPR water pipes? It is mainly based on the following 2 points.

   

  • The quality of welding is difficult to guarantee

  The quality of raw materials used in the production of PPR water pipes by different manufacturers is different, and the ratio of raw materials in production is also different, so there are some differences in the physical and chemical properties (such as melting point, soluble flow rate) and mechanical properties of the produced water pipes. If a manufacturer uses inferior raw materials (more complex composition), then the welding quality is more difficult to ensure.

  In addition, although the specifications of the water pipe and its accessories are produced in accordance with national standards, but different manufacturers in the production of the standard control is not the same, or slightly different. If it is produced by a small manufacturer, it is possible to encounter non-standard sizes, and there is no problem with their own production of PPR water pipes and fittings. But with the other pipe fittings together when there is too big or too small. This affects the welding and ultimately the service life.

   

  

   

  • The responsibility of water leakage accident is not easy to determine

  If different brands of pipes and fittings are welded, a more practical problem is that if there is a leak at the weld, the responsibility for the problem is not easy to determine. It is not possible to determine whether it is a welding problem, nor whether it is a product quality problem, nor which brand manufacturer should be responsible.
