3 Major Reasons Why We all need to Start Planting more Trees

It's believed that there are around three trillion trees around the world. This might sound a lot, but half of them are in the tropical regions, and they too are continuously decreasing with each passing day. Donation for tree plantation can help save our planet.

People tend to cut around 15 billion trees in a year because of the rising population and the need to construct space for them to live. But, they don't realize that while cutting trees and building space for living, they are somehow digging a death hole for many living creatures, including themselves.

Why do we need to Preserve Trees?

Contribution to Environment- Trees help combat global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide. They act like filters that pull carbon dioxide back out of the air and store it away in the roots and trunk of their bodies while releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere through photosynthesis.

Trees also reduce wind speeds and cool the air as they lose moisture, heat, and humidity in their leaves when they release water vapor into the air as part of transpiration. Other environmental benefits include the fact that trees can reduce a city's temperature by up to 7°C and help to prevent flooding and erosion.

    • Contribution Towards Animals- A lot of people are unaware of deforestation, which is so unfortunate because a significant portion of the Earth's land has been completely cleared over the years - and it's world-changing not just for animals but also for people because we no longer have as much space to roam around in.

When more trees are planted by charities for planting trees, animals live longer because they have the means to protect themselves from the elements and predators.

    • Contribution Towards Mental Health- When people think about trees, what usually comes to mind are benefits like their recreation value or their conservation function. However, do you know that the presence of a tree may relax you?

    • It's no understatement - as there is scientific proof that being around a deciduous tree can lower your blood pressure and stress levels! In a recent study, 585 young adult Japanese participants reported their mood after walking for 15 minutes in a forest. All 585 participants reported immediate differences in their anxiety, fatigue, and depressive symptoms.

So, these are some reasons why we all should be planting trees around us with the help of donation for tree plantation. The ones who cannot plant trees by themselves can contribute to Non-Profit Organizations like CANSEF, ONETREEPLANTED, etc.
