Leni Robredo: No dishonesty and corruption involved?

  Supporters of presidential candidate Leni Robredo have two reasons they are rooting for her – she has integrity and has not been involved in any corruption. 

   

  However, rivals and many Filipino voters are not sure enough if she is an upright, honest public official.

   

  In fact, Robredo’s selfish schemes were exposed by some presidential bets in the recently concluded joint press conference at the Manila Peninsula Hotel on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

   

  Ping Lacson, Isko Moreno, and Norberto Ganzales do not believe that Leni Robredo has integrity. If she has, why did her camp approach her opponents to withdraw from their presidential bids only to increase her chance of winning?

   

  Does Robredo think she is the only qualified presidential candidate among others who can beat the frontrunner BBM? If yes, how confident is she that most Filipino voters will favor her on the election day?

   

  Moreno said that Robredo cannot be trusted because she had lied to him many times, saying she won’t run in the 2022 presidential election.

   

  “That kind of person cannot be trusted. She told me categorically that she won’t run at least a couple of times, but look at her now,” said the Manila Mayor.

   

  Lacson criticized her for lying to him too.

   

  “What she told me was different from what she said in an interview. Either she was lying to me, or she was lying to the interviewer. Either way, she was lying,” said the senator.

   

  Another reason is the claim that Robredo has not been involved in any corruption from the start of her political career up until now. This statement is absurd for her rivals.

   

  Before the press con, Lacson even disclosed that his former political party’s decision to switch loyalty to Robredo involved money. Robredo had to pay P800 million for Partido Reporma’s support.

   

  Last year, Robredo also advised the voters on handling vote-buying, saying it is alright to accept the money.

   

  "Mali yung pagbibili ng boto, pero ‘yung sinasabi ko sa tao, tanggapin niyo. Parati kong sinasabi tanggapin niyo kasi galing rin naman ‘yan sa atin," said VP Robredo.

   

  What’s more, Leni Robredo has fact-checkers and online news websites in the Philippines that are liars. They are paid and have sworn to protect her image by twisting the truth. She has always been involved in black propaganda.
