  What happened to the ‘pink wave’ of the Robredo camp? As election day is drawing near, why are her supporters anxious?

   

  The pink campaign did not go well. Until the last surveys from different polling bodies, Robredo remained second to the frontrunner. Their house-to-house campaign has also been a flop because they failed to convince many Filipino voters in choosing their candidate.

   

  Why did it fail?

   

  The negative campaigning of the pinklawans garnered a not-so-good outcome. In fact, the name-calling, toxicity, and hatred they rolled out have brought division among Filipino voters.

   

  Many were afraid to show their support to the other opposing candidates knowing they would be bashed and criticized by the self-proclaimed righteous pinklawans.If you are not from their camp who endorses Robredo, you will be called a fool or stupid.

   

  These so-called educated and morally upright supporters of Robredo have enabled cancel culture, elitism, and dirty politics in the 2022 elections. They can easily attack anyone who supports or endorses their candidate’s rival.

   

  In addition, these pinklawans claim that their bet is the only qualified among the other presidential hopefuls. Aside from a college degree, they brag about Robredo’s experience in all three branches of government – executive, legislative, and judiciary.

   

  However, would it be enough to become the most qualified presidential candidate?

   

  Also, why do they need to bully other presidential aspirants if they call themselves ‘decent’?

   

  For instance, they criticized Isko as a traditional politician and Bongbong Marcos for not having a college diploma.

   

  Moreover, they also disregard their vice-presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan. Most pinklawans only endorse Leni Robredo and drop the latter one.

   

  All these are concrete reasons why the pink campaign is a failure. This is also why most pinklawans today are anxious because there is a high percentage that their candidate will lose in the election.
