Warranty period of steel structure canopy project

    Because the canopy project (especially the large steel structure canopy) has a large area, the building or structure is more complicated; and there are certain waterproof requirements when used. Therefore, referring to the waterproof and anti-leakage of the roof and external walls, the warranty period is 5 years; some excerpts from the "Regulations on Quality Management of Construction Projects" (Decree No. 279 of the State Council):

    Chapter Six Construction Project Quality Warranty

    Article 39:

    Construction projects implement a quality warranty system: when a construction project contractor submits a project completion acceptance report to the construction unit, it shall issue a quality warranty letter to the construction unit. The quality warranty letter shall specify the warranty scope, warranty period and warranty responsibilities of the construction project.

    Article 40:

    Under normal conditions of use, the minimum warranty period for construction works is

    (1) For infrastructure projects, foundation projects and main structural projects of housing construction, the reasonable service life of the projects stipulated in the design documents;

    (2) 5 years for roof waterproofing projects, toilets, rooms and external walls that require waterproofing;

    (3) Heating and cooling systems, which are two heating periods and cooling periods;

    (4) 2 years for electrical pipelines, water supply and drainage pipelines, equipment installation and decoration projects.

    The warranty period for other items shall be agreed upon by the contracting party and the contractor. The warranty period of a construction project shall be calculated from the date of completion and acceptance.

    Article 41:

    If quality problems occur in the construction project within the warranty scope and warranty period, the construction unit shall perform the warranty obligation and be liable for compensation for the losses caused.

    Article 42:

    Where a construction project needs to continue to be used after the reasonable service life has expired, the property owner shall entrust survey and design units with corresponding qualification levels for appraisal, and take measures such as reinforcement and maintenance based on the appraisal results to redefine the service period.
