The origin of the portal frame steel structure

Before the prefabricated light steel building entered China, China began research on its light steel building system. In the 1970s and 1980s, some designers had begun to try all steel structure buildings; but due to the old steel production restrictions and design methods, steel structure buildings were difficult to develop in China. During the more than ten years of reform and opening up, countless foreign light steel construction manufacturers have settled in China, and countless local light steel construction companies have emerged. The development of the steel structure system in my country has gone through such a period: Before 1990, the main application of steel structure buildings in the industrial field was the frame structure system in heavy factories. The main application in the civil field is bolt ball or welding ball space frame structure; since the 1990s, the steel structure has entered a period of rapid development and application in my country. The portal frame steel structure has been widely used in industrial factories, supermarkets, and warehouses; the steel frame has also been applied more and more in many high -rise buildings; a large number of thin -walled color steel plates are used in the maintenance system of various structures, and in the beamless and column dome ; Steel pipes directly converge welding structure and its combined structure with high-intensity tension has been promoted to various types of sports, culture and other public buildings; In addition to being widely used in maintenance structure components such as cricket strips, cold -bent -wall steel sections have also begun to be applied as the main force component or its components of the structure.

Early typical portal frame steel structure was the German mechanical engineering exhibition hall of the 1910 Brucel World Expo. The multi -layer steel frame structure was adopted; the German Essen Coal Mine Taxation Association built in 1932 adopted the portal frame steel structure. In 1954, the German subway station designed by Toroha was a typical portal frame steel structure. He perfectly combined the decorative effect with the force of the portal frame steel structure.

The modern steel structure system consists of hot -rolled section, welded section, and cold -curved thin -wall steel section components. People often divide steel structures into two categories: ordinary steel structure and light steel structure. However, there are many different standards for how to define or distinguish them. For example, the standard of structural span, the standard of the number of structural layers, the standard for structural use, the standard of the tonnage of cranes, etc. These standards have a certain rationality, but they are based on external factors or characteristics of the structural system. In fact, the essence of the light steel structure system is "light". The condition that realizes this essence is that the cuttering parts must be "thin". When the "thin" board is stressed, it is easy to cause local disability. After the local disability, the component still has the ability to carry. Therefore, the limit intensity after the part of the board is not stable during design.

Due to the increasingly tense land, some builders often set up local expansion in the portal frame steel structure in order to save land costs for office or warehouse. In this way, the function of the portal frame steel structure is unified, which exceeds the application scope of the "CECS102: 2002) (hereinafter referred to as the portal frame steel structure regulations). In fact, many units still adopt portal frame steel structure procedures when designing this type of structural system. There are also steel structure design specifications (at least on the construction value of the material), and its procedures are still used in the upper part. We recommend adopting the latter.
