LAGOA DA PRATA - Arsenal legend, Gilberto Silva, gave harsh criticism to the Gunners. According to him, Arsenal no longer have a winning mentality so they slumped and failed to qualify for the 2022-2023 Champions League.
As is known, Arsenal ended the 2021-2022 Premier League in fifth place with 69 points. In fact, Arsenal had led the decline in the top four positions before being overtaken by Tottenham Hotspur for reaping consecutive bad results.
Seeing Arsenal's performance last season, Silva was disappointed. He said Gunners fans were frustrated that their beloved team had missed out on the opportunity to feature in the Champions League.

Silva also assessed that Arsenal had not competed for the Premier League title for a long time. Given the bad trend, Silva understands Arsenal's failure last season.
"Let's see, I think Arsenal need to get back to the top of the league through the main competition. Because it's very difficult to see Arsenal in recent years not playing in the Champions League and not fighting for the title.
Silva said Arsenal were not at the same level as Manchester City and Liverpool, which have been competitive in recent seasons. He considered, the Gunners must work hard to return to glory.
"I know that compared to Man City and Liverpool, they are not at the same level. Arsenal have to work hard and work well to get back to the good times and start sorting out the situation and competing for the title."
Silva also offended Arsenal's mentality. The man with the Brazilian passport said that the Gunners had difficulty competing because they did not have a winning mentality.
