Finally we realised that the truth: the game design was at fault and needed to change. We had to locate a system that created players feel great about playing at the right level for their progression.

The Fire & Ice Mystery Box
The idea for this new Mystery Box was going to build on the poe trade currency success of this earlier-released Chaos & Order Mystery Box. To that end, GGG decided on "another dual themed box", now (obviously) ice and fire. The report starts with a discussion about designing a dual-themed armor set being a struggle that went through several iterations before the final design was discovered.
The Way the box would be given out to players was exceptional and how it was executed in WftA is something that will be included in further mystery boxes going ahead:
