PARIS， Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Three climbers died Wednesday afternoon in an avalanche near the France's oldest ski resort of Chamonix in the Massif of Mont-Blanc of France， BFMTV news channel reported on Thursday.
Two women， a 32-year-old Slovak， an Anglo-Polish， 33， were found lifeless late on Wednesday evening. The body of their guide， a German man was discovered earlier in the day.
They were killed by an avalanche while they were climbing the Mont Maudit， according to the report.
The bodies were discovered buried under 50 cm of snow. They suffered "very important traumatic shock，" it added.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the death.

ROME, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Eleven bodies of migrants were found by rescuers in a dinghy in one of two operations off the coast of Libya Tanoh Kpassagnon Chiefs Jersey , the Italian Coast Guard confirmed Tuesday.
According to ANSA news agency, another 167 migrants on board the same dinghy were rescued by a ship run by Spanish non-government organization (NGO) Proactiva Open Arms. The other 90 migrants on another boat were rescued by a ship run by Save the Children, a well-known NGO.
