Hey, I wouldn't say that, my wife from Singapore and her parents have two air conditioners at home. I do not know how much they paid for the aircons and for their installation but as far as I know their air conditioners are serviced by the same company https://www.socool.sg/ and they pay some small amount per year. I think that it is much more profitable than paying the full amount for repairs in case of breakage or complete replacement of the air conditioner.
