The Converse Sneakers For Men, a classic silhouette from the Converse camp, gets some NBA inspiration as we take a look at this new Celtics colorway. While the colorway is not officially tied to the Boston Celtics, it does come with NBA branding on the heels thanks to the NBA x Nike partnership. This Pro Leather Mid dons a white leather construction on the upper that is then offset by green and gold detailing on the branding on the side panels as well as the heel area.
Converse Sneakers White is paying homage to Chuck Cooper, Nat Clifton and Earl Lloyd as part of their Breaking Down Barriers collection as these are the first three African Americans to break the NBA color barrier in 1950. All three players at one point in their career played for the Detroit Pistons and that is where the inspiration comes for this new colorway of the Converse Pro Leather.
The Converse Sneakers Cheap features a white leather construction on the upper with red and blue accents, colors inspired by the Pistons. Unique details include the NBA Hardwood Classics logo on the collar, the vintage Pistons logo inside the tongue, embroidered satin Star Chevron detailing on the side panels, and the team colors running down the heel.
The Converse Pro Leather Mid OG White & Obsidian upper provides a capable canvas for bold printed patterns. Stark white punk-style graphics sit on a black Tyvek base, ranging from a sneering visage to a “Stop Lying To Yourself” hit. Delicate by design, this crinkled construction is made to wear down over time, letting the print gradually fade for a truly individual broken-in style. It’s protected by a translucent outer layer with a Converse Chevron logo that ensures the print doesn’t fade too fast. The rest of the upper is constructed of shaggy black suede with a bold rubberized “PLEASURES NOW” wordmark gracing the heel.
