The limited number of seats offered by the government colleges in India and the high tuition fees of the private universities in India, students aspiring to study medicine chose to go abroad for their education. The medical council of India has a list of international universities that are recognized by it, which means that students studying in MCI approved medical colleges in abroad are eligible to complete their education in abroad and later work in India. Some of the graded MCI approved medical universities are namely, Huazhong Univ of science and technology, capital medical university, Dalian medical university, etc.
