I would disagree. I have an air purifier at home and I really like it. I was not really a fan of them before as well but I recently discovered that I am allergic to dust and honestly it has been very hard on me. I mean I am not a dirty person but there is always dust everywhere and I would go through out the die with my nose congested and my eyes all puffy. I asked my GP what options did I have and he suggested I get an air purifier with an ionizer built in to clean the air. I thought that it was worth a try and started looking. I was browsing the web when I came across this really cool blog called buyersimpact.co.uk. They had an amazing post about air purifiers and it kind of got me hooked. I was able to actually understand what I needed and what would work best for me. I am currently able to breathe without getting that itchy nose sensation thanks to the air purifier. So yeah if you guys have any sort of respiratory issues they might help.

Thank you for sharing this! I'm also allergic to dust, and I consider buying an air purifier for myself. But I have no idea which one to chose.
