Hi everyone!
I’ve been doing quite a bit of travel lately, and I wanted to share some tips I’ve picked up — plus hear your best advice too. Travel is awesome, but the costs and logistics can sneak up on you. Here are some things that have helped me:
Use integrated transit cards where possible
In cities like Dubai, you can use one card (like the NOL card) for metro, bus, and sometimes even taxis. It simplifies payment and reduces small fees.
Check balance before you travel
Nothing worse than ending up short when you’re in a hurry. I use a quick online check for my transport card balance before heading out.
Watch for transport packages & city passes
Some cities offer bundled deals: subway + bus + museum entry at a discount. Worth checking early.
Travel off-peak when possible
Fares and traffic tend to be lower outside rush hours — plus, less stress with fewer crowds.
Local sim / e-wallets
Having local mobile data and e-wallet setups can make booking rides or adding transit credit faster and cheaper.
What’s your best travel money-saver or transit hack?
Have you used a transport card system like NOL, Oyster, EZ-Link, etc. in your city or while traveling abroad? I’d love to hear your experience!
Thanks
