Coffee cultivation requires specific climate conditions, including warm temperatures, high humidity, and rich soil. Coffee plants typically grow in regions near the equator, often referred to as the Coffee Belt. Farmers carefully plant, water, and prune coffee trees to ensure healthy growth. It can take several years before a coffee plant produces harvestable beans. Once ripe, coffee cherries are hand-picked or mechanically harvested. The growing process plays a major role in determining the final flavor and quality of the coffee we enjoy.
