Internal storage is not available on the Arlo camera. Rather, it connects to the base station and then to the internet from there. It makes a "recording" on the internet. Nothing is recorded and you cannot access your cameras if your internet connection is down. Arlo comes with free cloud storage for up to 7 days of video storage. But what happens if the Internet goes down or if the power goes out? Users of Arlo pro can connect a USB drive to the base to continue recording even if they are not connected to the Internet.
