Hi all,
I have been trying to install worldcast email program, but files are not setting up correctly, or extracting correctly.
This is self extracting .exe file, and I have WindowsXP.
I have installed and uninstalled the program repeatedly,
and downloaded from various sources.
I make sure my firewall is disabled during download.
to open/install, I have doubled clicked to start setup wizard,
tried installation as start / run /browse for exe file,
control panel - add program. Same problems regardless.
Program goes through setup wizard, and - yes, I accept terms, install location as c:\program, etc. And then the user window is open, but it gives an error message when I click on any toolbar features, or "x" to shutdown.
"Access violation at address 0453799B in module 'Worldcst.exe'. Read of address 00000000."
THEN, program "dims", becomes inactive, and cannot even try to click.
I have to use TaskManager to shutdown.
I can get some features to react, if I use the feature icon and not toolbar to select.. but then still problems, cannot enter text into message body, freezes if I add attachment.
I have spent three days searching for some common reason why extraction is not processing completely or correctly.
I can only find lots of people who say program is great, and easy to install, and easy to use. Plus a few people who say it just doesn't work as promised.
I have been to WorldCast site, and my problem not really identified.
And they don't offer help to free download users.
Hopefully there is minor setting to change, or something I cannot think of. Help is appreciated.
