According to Trae Young, the Atlanta Hawks' star forward, he is dissatisfied with his 89 overall rating on NBA 2K22.
Young has previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the video game on multiple occasions. According to NBA 2K1, the guard received a rating of 88 last year, and he expressed his dissatisfaction by tweeting:
This season, Young was one of the NBA's most potent offensive players, averaging 29.6 points per game while being selected to his first All-Star game. As a result, his scoring average dipped slightly in 2020-21, but he still managed to average 25.3 points and 9.4 assists per game while guiding the Hawks to their first postseason appearance in four years.
Atlanta made an unexpected run to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they were defeated by the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks. When it came to the Hawks' 16 playoff games, Young averaged 28.8 points per game.
This was still insufficient to place him among the top-rated players in NBA 2K22, however. Among those rated 96 overall are LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Stephen Curry.
If Young wants his video game character to reach this level, he will have to maintain a high level of production.
