ويتم عمل العزل المائي للاسطح عن طريق وضع طبقات من الرول المائي العازل في السطح ثم يتم دهان هذه الرولات بطبقة اسمنتية لكي تعمل علي حماية الخرسانة الرغوية ثم يتم دهانها بعد ذلك بطبقة من البيتومين تمهيدا لتركيب بقية رولات العازل المائي، ثم يتم استخدام اللهب الموقد لتثبيته ثم يتم بعد ذلك وضع 10سنتيمتر لكل رول لكي يتم تثبيته جيدا ثم يتم التاكد من ان هذه الطبقات جيدة عن طريق فحصه بطريقة الاغمار بالماء بعد ان يتم سد جميع فتحات المرازيب عن طريق استخدام سدادات خاصة لكي تعمل علي منع تسرب الماء حيث يجب الحرص علي الحفاظ علي مستوي الماء ثابت ، لكي يتم التاكد من ان طبقات العازل تعمل بشكل جيد، ويتم وضع طبقة من الكاشي لكي تعمل علي حماية الطبقة الاسمنتية التي تكون فوق العازل المائي، ويتم ايضا تركيب الواح اخري للعزل ثم يتم دهانها بطبقة من البيتومين تمهيدا لتركيب الالواح لاعازلة الاخري التي تقوم بعمل عزل مائي ويجب ان يتم وضع الالواح باحكام وتكون متلاصقة جيدا ، ويفضل ان يتم تركيب الالواح باستخدام الواصلات عن طريق استخدام شريط لاصق من اللومنيوم، ثم يتم بعد ذلك صب طبقة اسمنتية فوقها تمهيدا لتركيب رولات العازل، ويجب ان يتم تثبيت العازل جيدا لحماية السطح من اي تسريب ماء حيث انه يعمل علي حماية السطح من تسرب المياه اليه ويحميه ايضا من تسرب مياه الخزان الي الاسطح حيث ان العازل المائي يجب ان يكون قوي لحماية السطح من تسريب اي مياه اليه سواء كانت مياه الخزانات الارضية او خزانات الاسطح او تسرب المياه من الحمامات والمطابخ او السباكة، ويتم عمل العزل المائي ومراعاة ان يتم اقامته باحكام جيثد لكي يمنع تسرب الماء، وان يشمل العازل المائي جميع الجوانب التي من المتوقع ان تتسرب منه المياه الي الاسطح
