يتم اقامة عزل الاسطح عن طريق استخدام مواد عزل مخصصة حيث يتم تركيب طبقة من الالواح العازلة للحرارة بعد ان يتم الانتهاء من بناء الهيكل الانشائي، وقبل اقامة عزل السطح يجب التاكد من نظافة الاسطح جيدا وخلوه من اي اتربة، وان يكون السطح جاف تماما ، يتم في البداية وضع العوازل في الاسطح ثم يتم بعد ذلك دهانها بطبقة من البيتومين لتقوية العازل ثم يتم تركيب الالواح العازلة للحرارة ويتم وضعها متلاصقة معا باحكام ، ويجب ان يتم تركيب الالواح بطريقة الفواصل حيث يتم وضع شريط لاصق من الالومنيوم باستخدام الالواح، ثم يتم بعد ذلك صب طبقة من الخرسانة لكي تعمل علي حماية الالواح العازلة للحرارة بعد تركيبها حيث يتم بعد ذلك صب طبقة من الخرسانة الرغوية ثم يتم بعد ذلك عمل طبقة اسمنتية فوقها ثم يتم تركيب رولات من العازل لصب طبقة الخرسانة، ويتم عمل طبقة من العزل الحراري والمائي باستخدام البوليثرين الحراري، ليساعد علي حماية الاسطح من تعرضها لتسريب الماء، وتعرضها لدرجات الحرارة المرتفعة، لان اقامة العازل يعزل البناية عن درجات الحرارة المرتفعة ودرجات الرطوبة العالية التي قد تؤدي الي تلف البناية او تعرضها للتساقط، وتحميها ايضا من تسرب المياه، ولذلك فان عزل الاسطح هام جدا وضروري اقامته لحماية الاسطح
