  Well, to fix the error 6155 in QuickBooks, one of the most successful techniques is to do a clean installation of QuickBooks. This process will wipe out the application completely and will install it again such that it is free of any issues or errors. The steps to perform the clean install are as follows:

  • First, press the Windows + R keys and type appwiz.cpl in the text box of the Run window you get on the screen.

  • Then, click OK and look for QuickBooks in the list of given applications.

  • Now, click twice on the application and select Uninstall.

  • Thereafter follow the on-screen instructions and remove the QuickBooks Desktop application completely.

  • Later, download and install QuickBooks Clean Install Tool.

  • And follow the instructions that it displays on the screen to install the QuickBooks application again on your computer.

  If QB Database Server Manager faces an issue, you won't be able to use the Multi-User mode. So, to fix the QBDBMgrN Not Running error, you have to restart your QuickBooks Database Server Manager on your system. The steps to restart it are given below:

  • First, press the Windows +R on the keyboard to get the Run window on the screen.

  • Type Services.msc and hit Enter.

  • Then scroll down and look for QB services listed there. You will find either of these- QuickBooksDB28, QuickBooksDB27, or QuickBooksDB26.

  • Click right on the service you find and choose the option to Restart.

  • Open QB again and check for the error status.

  Yes, the damaged QB Point of Sale can trigger the Quickbooks pos error 181016 in your application. And to fix this, you can follow the given steps:

  • Go to the Company Operations option under the File menu.

  • Then, click on the Create New Company option and give a unique name for it, and hit Next.

  • If you do not get any error with this file, then open the original company file.

  • And then again, go to the Company Operations, under the File menu.

  • After that, click on the Restore option from Backup and then hit Next.

  • Now, click on the Browse option from the Browse tab to Alternate backup file.

  • Then, go to the C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX\Data\ folder.

  • And open the qbpos.db file.

  • Lastly, give it a unique name and hit OK.

  I’m planning to move QuickBooks to a new computer, but I found that some essential data won’t move along with this process. Do you want to know about it in brief? Let’s discuss this.

  There are certain information and data that you would have to Transfer QuickBooks to a new computer manually. This information includes the following:

  1. You must uninstall Intuit data Protect on the old system and then log in it again to the new system.

  2. The company files won’t get copied.

  3. The QuickBooks payroll and Payment service data will have to be moved manually by signing in to the new system.

  4. A Multi-user setup information won’t get transferred on its own and would require to be moved by you to the new system.

  5. If you have created a Manual backup, it would have to copy manually at that point.

  What if I’m receiving an error alert Qbdbmgrn not running on this computer while running QuickBooks on the Windows Operating system?

  Well, you can easily eradicate Qbdmgrn not running issue if your QuickBooks is installed on the host system. Below are the steps to do so with much more ease: 

  1. Firstly, you need to open QuickBooks on the host or server.

  2. Now, choose the Open or Restore Company option in the File menu.

  3. Select Open a Company File and then hit the Next tab.

  4. After that, You are supposed to search for the Company File and then select it. 

  5. In the Multi-user Mode, click on the Open File and then press Open.

  6. Log in to the company file with the correct username & password and then you are required to select the File.

  7. At last, shut down the Company or log off to close the company file on the server.
